Throughout the past several decades, research has suggested an undeniable link between executive functioning skills, academic success, and future achievement. Researchers agree that early executive functioning skills are imperative for a strong learning foundation.

 

Executive dysfunction is commonly associated with emotional and behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other learning disabilities that interfere with education and learning.*

 

A current challenge in today’s educational landscape is that teachers often lack the time, expertise, and resources to effectively implement necessary strategies.

 

However, where there is challenge there is opportunity for implementing change.
